Report a translation problem
This has nothing to do with being faithful to the originals or SC2 having years and years of RTS to draw from... SC2 is from 2010, this is a Remaster coming out in 2020 - to which they added building hotkeys, which were non-existent in the originals. Therefore, your argument is not applicable here.
At any rate, I tried setting up a grid system on my own, but sadly the buildings/infrantry/vehicles icons move around depending on what you build first, so any grid system is currently unreliable (or will have you either commit to one kind of build order forever OR simply know the different hotkeys for the same building depending on your build order, which is just super lame).
What else would you need?
hotkeys have always been faster than mouse movement
Depends on the person, maybe for a casual gamer but anyone with medium/high mechanical skill can use a mouse way faster.
