What is the attack and move hotkey?
I remember from the old game you could hold a key and click to move on a location and my units would attack anything on the way. I can't find this in options. Does anybody know?

Thanks

That wasn't added until Tiberan Sun. In Skirmish & red alert, turret units (ie tanks) can attack while moving by using the queue attack mode, by right clicking a unit, then holding q and selecting a destination, so they'll attack along the way.

There is no attack and move. Think it was Generals or Tiberium Wars when it was introduced

The Ctrl + Alt is more of a guard function, but it works the same. If you're just holding one key, Ctrl is force fire and Alt is force move.

It's Alt+F4, don't listen to them.

You need to use Q move for something similar.

ok, i'll use the queue attack thingy then, thanks

Keep in mind Q only works in Red Alert

ok, thanks. Just gonna keep my men in lines in C&C and hit G for guard if i need them to defend automatically.

Nope, don't think the modifier key functions can be changed.

Not sure why you'd want to, though. Customisability for the construction shortcuts is one thing, but this is just the game's basic controls. There's no need to change them.

Ctrl+Alt can use to protect unit or area.
Then another way to use is select some units and let them protect unit you're controlling, then when you controlling main force, rest units will follow main force and attack enemy near main force.
Maybe this is not the best way to use, but this can make you focus on take out opponent's main building or other things.
Another way is Q and G
Press G then hold Q, but this need to keep pressing G and click on ground, also will have a little delay, but good when using tanks against lots infantry, you can attack and moving at same time.

ctrl+alt is crap at protecting units though. They just bump into the unit all the time and get in its way.
