System requirements
Hi. Thinking of ordering this but not sure if my laptop meets the requirements. It's nothing special, an Aspire 3 with AMD A6-9220e Radeon R4,5 compute cores 2c + 3G 1.60GHz and 12gb ram. Not sure what any of that means so any help appreciated.

Honestly if it can run Win10. It can run this game. :P The minimum reqs are so low and old. I smacks of <We have to put something here>.

That spec alone shouldn't be a problem in running it. The minimum requirement for this game is a over decade old dual core processor, 4GB RAM and a abysmally low-end graphic card that isn't even close to any better than any integrated graphic solution you see today.

Yeah, the system requirements are pretty low as mentioned, looks like you can run it, however you're not too far above the minimum requirement, based on online benchmark comparisons between your hardware and minimum requirements so you might see some lag depending on how well optimised this game is and how many units are currently active in the game.

It should be fine and I would definitely try it, since with steam you can get games refunded if you have less than 2 hours of play time on them.

Kevbez said he doesn't understand what any of it means, so is understandable imo

Yeah Laptop specs feel like they need a translator sometimes.

Thanks for your responses everyone, very helpful. @Lunde79 - I did look at the system requirements, I'm not that stupid! Like others have said my reason for posting was because I didn't understand half of what my laptop specs meant. I didn't buy it as a gaming machine, this is something extra I'm hoping to use it for so was unsure on it's capabilities. Thanks again for the help the rest of you have given, I'll certainly give it a go now :)

Your CPU and GPU are above the minimum requirements, your RAM is at the bare minimum, should be okay, as long as you got Windows 10 (or 8.1) as your operating system.

OK, here goes nufin:

Intel Core duo T9400 2,53 GHz

4,00 GB ram

64 bit operating system

ATI mobility radeon 3400 Series

Think it'l run on this too?

You're aware that these games are 25 years old, right? And that they ran on computers made 25 years ago? I guarantee that any computer capable of running Steam can run the Remastered collection.

That's nonsense. What the Remaster adds are high resolution textures for all its terrain and sprites, and you absolutely need a dedicated graphics card with enough video memory to handle that. Plenty of people have had issues in the past because they were just using some integrated intel HD card, and it simply wasn't enough.

The game engine may be a one megabyte 25-year-old piece of programming, but the graphics system is all modern.

Minimum spec is a 2.4 Ghz dual-core processor from 2007, 4GB’s RAM, with a budget 1GB graphics card from 2010.
