Memory failed me so please enlighten
Do tiberium / gold / gem regrow in these games? I don't quite remember.

If they don't re-grow, after one finished harvesting all the ore, their economy would stop? It's not like we could recruit Chinese hackers to steal money off the WWW.

Just from my experiences playing I believe the default has them grow at a slightly slower rate than 1 harvester can gather, but it's been said that if you were to make your own custom maps you could choose the rate at which resources regrow.

That depends on the size of the field. I mean, all of the resources that are there spread to the areas around it, so the more unoccupied cell touching resource cells, the more growth you get.

i remeber in C&C that i used shoot the tib plant or stalk and it made the regen rate quicker
Fairly sure that doesn't actually work though. It's possible that attacking it makes it animate more, but unlike in TS, there's no relation between tiberium growth and the tree animations in C&C1. The only effect of the tree animation is that it damages infantry around it.
i saw ever so often the tib stalk would send out spores so when i used a tank to shoot at it it did it more so maybe it just it look like it did i dont know

As I said, it's possible that the blossom tree indeed responds to that, since its spray is actually harmful to infantry... but it has no effect on the tiberium growth around it.

Why would they improve something that isn't broken? That's just the way it works in C&C1.

If I remember right, blossom trees in Tiberian Dawn would not only damage infantry, but also make vehicles start smoking if they were in yellow health as if they took damage, whether it did any damage to them I don't know.

Actually...
Ore is replenished by ore mines... If there is an ore mine on the map then it will slowly throw some ore out on the ground every few game ticks.
Tiberium is the same concept kinda... A tree gets infected with tiberium and turns into a tiberium spore producing tree which throws tiberium slowly on the ground at certain intervals.

While you are right about the ore mines and the trees, any tiberium patch itself will also grow to nearby spots, not just the trees, meaning if there were no trees in a patch you could park like a humwee on a single spot and essentially have the same effect, and not risk completely drying out the field that way as long as you didn't move the hum wee, since your harvests wouldn't be able to harvest that one spot and it would then make tiberium nearby

Trees can't actually get infected in the gameplay itself; that's a trick the game plays on you. The infected trees are simply preplaced specific separate objects, which happen to look like normal trees on game start but which mutate after a minute or two.

And unlike in Tiberian Sun, the tree's animations have no influence on the spreading around it. It just acts like an indestructible single patch of tiberium.

Stop ruining the illusion!!111

Nah, a lot of this behind the scenes stuff is actually pretty interesting.

You can actually identify them; if you mouse over the trees, even before they mutate, the tooltip will call it a "blossom tree" rather than just a "tree" ;)

Oh great, now I know what I'll be doing during downtime in certain missions..
Nyerguds Jun 2, 2020 @ 6:05am
Knowing C&C missions, by the time you got past the original hurdle they throw at you and managed to set up your stuff, they're usually already mutated ^_^

I believe that in the originals Ore-mines and Blossom trees at the centre of resource patches would regrow tiberium and ore around them over time.

Gems and Blue tiberium would never regen I dont think
Nyerguds Jun 2, 2020 @ 6:21am
Well blue tiberium doesn't exist in C&C1 anyway.

The veinhole monster appears in a cutscene, though.
