Command and Conquer Generals and Zero Hour

They both run fine and look fine on a modern PC, there is even a launch command to force it to go 1080p(or whatever your full screen resolution is) if you own it already. You can buy the most upto date version on Origin, its the EA version of Steam. Its in the collection pack. Id like to see Origin dump its self into Steam completely, they are a solid service but they don't have enough to offer compared to Steam or Xbox live or Playstation network or Nintendo switch's online store so not many people bother looking at it.

Generals is my favourite RTS franchise along with AoE. I was so happy when they announced Generals 2, and very sad when they cancelled it.

For me it's mostly the "not yet another resource hogging launcher!"thing. Same with UPlay. I don't mind these publishers wanting to cut out the middle man by selling games directly, but PLEASE stop with a separate launcher for every shop! Get us a unified launchpad already!

Anyway, i would instantly buy a Steam/GoG version of Generals & Zero hour. I had it on a physical First Decade copy but the disk wore out.

First up are Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2. Generals comes after that. (If Petroglyph actually cares about that bastard child of the franchise... :P)

They have an *Ultimate Command and Conquer Edition" on Origin with 17 games, but it says it's for Vista and Windows 7, so I don't want to buy it and have it not work.

Besides if they remaster Generals and Zero Hour, I'd rather just have those two.
