In the demo the Dropship feature is still present. You had a group of units that would come with you from battle to battle and gain experience.
But the craziest thing was, guns were supposed to have accuracy dependant on visibility. So you would place units near light sources such as lightposts and fires to ensure that they hit targets.
In the settings there is even a wind, yes, there is wind, I felt like a true god when I found it. being able to control the wind in that little matrix haha.
For example, you can kill your own units to earn XP. Then there's all the stuff the Hyperpatch attempted to fix. Disruptors and so forth. RA and TD are far simpler games, also graphically.
I am honestly not sure if they can. Would be easier to just remake the game in SAGE engine or perhaps the Petroglyph engine.
They won't announce any other games until they know the remasters work in the sales history. If they do, the chances of the additional games being remastered may be questioned. Hence why it's only the first two in the series.

An RTT of roughly the same time, also Ground Control. With Tiberian Sun they really wanted to venture off into true 3D. But such a step takes time. They got it right with Generals and dare I say Renegade thou.
And the only studio as of yet who ever managed to pull that off, during the 90s, was Bungie, who managed to make a 3D environment, with 2D assets. First time in the making, all because they were trying out tech before hitting Halo.
Yeah well ofc they say that. Easier said than done. I still weep for Generals 2 and End of Nations.
But yes if this is a success in sales they'll keep making em. Will buy it soon, end of the month, need money xDDD
If I recall, Myth was the first game to have a 3D environment on a top down scale, as Bungie was dabbling in the Real time Tactics genre, where the game also had 2D assets in said 3D world, and it was around 1997 that the first Myth game was made. Which in turn, gradually caused them to work on multiple versions of Myth, until they've given it over to Eidos, where Bungie later focused on Halo.
Start with the first TibWar, being Tiberian Dawn, then TibWar 2 and it's expansion, being Tiberian Sun and it's expansion.
Red Alert to hopefully Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge.
We may even see, if we're super lucky, the Dune games.
Pretty much impossible. They don’t have the Dune license anymore. As far as I know Funcom is allowed to make Dune games nowadays.
