Lands of Lore REMASTER Plz...

I know this is not part of the C&C discussion (although we DO see C&C in LoL3 :D, and does make part of the Westwood family). But PLZ!! Consider remastering and maybe even continuing the Lands of Lore Saga!

I am with you on that! But here is the thing. Why would EA spend money on remastering a forgotten nieche franchise when they won't be able to make back the money they spend for remastering it.

But we can hope that some day it happens

Plus, there's one other thing to consider here. Do they actually own the RIGHTS to Lands of Lore?

They probably do. At least publishing rights? The games are on gog under their flag.
But GOG only made sure the games start. They didnt fix the plaguing bugs. LOL3 is still as unplayable as it ever was.

Trust me all, I DESPISE the current "gaming" corporations and their greedy ways. But the LoL franchise is the ONLY one I would give EA money for. And yeah... it's merely a petition, as the OG LoL is one of my favorite games of all times. Games like Skyrim and GrimRock have filled the hollow, but the lore, the weapons and items, that LoL feel, I would love to see it continued. I even have AND PLAY LoL tToC on my phone!

I actully asked the devs through email about Lands of lore remaster when C and C remaster was first mentioned and I got a response a week later, that they also loved Lands of lore 1 and would love to make a Remaster but the games rights and stuff etc is collecting dust in a EA Lockbox somewhere at EA and They don't know if or think EA would ever dig it up from their EA "Vault". But I also asked if they would consider doing a new Lands of Lore game. That continues the story from Lands of Lore 1. Lands of lore 2 I didn't like that one and Lands of Lore 3 was meh but LOL 1 was great, great story and lore. but I only got answer about a LOL 1 Remaster. But who knows if the C and C remaster sells well.

Thanks for the info Swook! And yes, LoL1 is beautiful and has great gameplay. I did like GoDs story, characters, weapoms & their powers, and the variety in enviroments, what I dislike at the time was the shooter like gameplay. The 3rd one was a downgrade (or even an incomplete game) and kind of a mess.

Hopefully a new game would take from Grimrock in gameplay and looks, but stick to the OG weapon system with specific stats and unique powers and properties, appropriate for certain circumstances like Emerald Blades on the 3rd floor of the White Tower; and not like Skyrim that starts to feel like Borderlands and weapons become just too random and nothing really special like Great Axe Blizzard, Thohan's Great Sword or Great Sword Firestorm/Darkstorm.

There is much I would like to see in a new game, and they don't necessarily need to have the Lands of Lore name, they could even have a "spiritual successor" or something.

Time will tell, crossing fingers, its my favorite genre. Love to get lost in the lore and gameplay.

Well, there was one thing I didn't like about LOL 1, the only thing. The 3rd floor of white tower. God it was hard and the ghosts appeared randomly the entire floor. Most of the times you had to run out back to the second floor because the ghosts could go through walls, doors...everything.

If they would ever make a new Lands of Lore game. I do hope we can explore more of the world and the lore. New playable characters or just Conrad if the voice actor still working. I always choosed Conrad each time I played. I always envisioned Michael to become General of Gladstone army. Not sure if Patrick Stewart would ever repraise the roll of King Richard of Gladstone. Ohh and Victor the Armorer to come back and redeem himself and become the Heroes own personal Blacksmith. Bacatta Brother Viscosa joining the team early in the game as he had taken up Bacatta roll as Mistress Dawns protector and assistant and like his brother Mistress Dawn tells Viscosa to join the hero on his quests. More followers to choose from to join would be great , more than 3, THe hero gets a quest to go find the Draracle but as the hero finds the Draracle room, he is gone and the hero must go out into the world to find the Draracle.

The Dark army has regrouped and multiplied, gained new allies to conquer the world and is lead by a new leader, far more powerful than Scotia and is ancient.

Would be great to see familiar places like South Lands, Gorkha Swamp, Urbish Mines, Yvel etc. See the where the Elves lives and Thomgog homelands etc.

and hopefully we can decied who becomes Gladstone's Hero. Never liked that the weakest character "Kieran" became the Gladstone's Hero.

I don't think so or we would have heard about it by now. There was hope but it probably won't happen. But we still got the old version of Lands of Lore 1. Missed opportunity by EA if you ask me, It has a rich world and lore worth exploring.
