How to 100% FIX + TWEAK Manhunt on Windows 10.

Due to this game being very old and lacking support for operating systems newer than Vista, this game requires quite a hefty amount of patching to get working. Windows 10 being the worst culprit, the game run likes absolute s h 1 t on Windows 10.

Here's how you can fix it completely.

FIX:

There's multiple steps required to get this fixed, but don't worry it really isn't all that difficult and you should hopefully have the game running in no time :)

1. Download this patch (Click Me) [dl.dropboxusercontent.com]
*Downloading this patch fixes level doors being shut, such as the gate in Born Again.

2. Download NVidia Inspector (assuming your graphics card is NVidia, if not find another suitable likewise application.) (Click Me) [www.guru3d.com]

2a. Open NVidia Inspector look to the right of your GPU (graphics card) driver's name, click on the button. http://i.imgur.com/UrNp7Aj.png

2b. A big list of settings should pop up, go up to the search bar at the top left and type "Manhunt", this will allow you to specify settings for the game. http://i.imgur.com/OTWNI6I.png

Force vsync to ON, cap game at 60fps in the frame limiter section :) and force triple buffering.

*Capping the game to 60fps fixes the unpredictable and shoddy bugged AI which was present beforehand.

OPTIONAL TWEAKS:

1. Download AGThirteen's Widescreen Patch (for users using widescreen displays.)

Got to the 4th episode only installing the gate fix. I was wondering why the AI seemed so... odd. Walking backwards, diagonally, etc, lol. Now the game actually plays good. Was starting to think that's just how it was haha!

Everything you need is located in my github repo,kudos to ThirteenAG and crosire as well as others,because for fixing the sound you need to do it manually in the audio scripts folder as well as some adjustments in the NVIDIA Control Panel for tripple buffering and V-Synch. As for Rivatuner etc,tried that-it crashes on level 2 on Win 10 1903/1909 builds even if limiting the FPS to 30 .

AI is broken without the 1.92 crosire's wrapper just tested it skyrockets to 200+ FPS with dinput8.dll file only so the crosire's wrapper is necessary unless you prefer enemies running backwards and stuck in loops.

Nope, it caps to 60 properly for me after installing the widescreen fix. Something is screwy on your end.

Because you are capping the FPS settings with Nvidia Inspector.Without it you need the wrapper.

If that is not the case then your monitor settings must be like 60Hz refresh rate,because mine is like 180Hz so unless I use the crosire's 1.92 wrapper FPS skyrockets to 200 with just ThirteenAG's dinput8.dll.
Are you sure you are on the Windows 10 1909 build(latest)?Because I tested there.Ok whatever the case maybe,for now I've tested this game on two rigs from different vendors and they both give the same result regarding FPS skyrocketing without the crosire's 1.92 patch.Maybe your PC is special.

I NEVER said I used Nvidia Inspector. I use a 165 Hz monitor and it properly caps it to 60 for me. You're thinking of OP.
