game freezing at mission screen
hello im wondering if anyone can help me fix my freezing problem.
some times when i start a mission it runs fine but most times i start a mission and it freezes on the black loading screen with the mission name. Other times if i skip a cutseen it just stops working.
when this happens i am unable to leave the game or go to the windows start screen (windows 8) and have to turn my pc off.

Hmm, I am getting this too. I used the downgrader & silent patch and I was thinking it was a problem with that. Now I'm thinking maybe it's something else that's causing it.

Are you running a clean Steam copy?

Or have you used the downgrader and/or silent patch or Ginput mod?

I'm on Windows 10.

I am getting this problem aswell, I am on Windows 7 and i have used downgrader, silent patch and Ginput.

i have no idea what is causing it but i have to save a lot just in case it does it again

I also forgot to mention - enable frame limiter in the graphics settings > advanced section. Disabling it causes a few funny issues including possibly this. Though I DO have it enabled and still get the freeze.

i bought this game afew years ago in a humble bundel with with all other gta games apart form 5 asfor it was not out at this time.
i dont know what "downgrader and/or silent patch or Ginput mod" is and this problem is happening

I never found a fix and gave up on the game years ago. But, a quick look on the steam guides gave me this:

By the looks of it i fixes the crashing issues.
