New bug fixes:
•Made the game select metric/imperial units basing on system locale settings. This can be overridden from the INI file
•Sirens of emergency vehicles have received correct corona placements, so they now actually match models!
•Sirens of FBI vehicles in both GTA III and Vice City have been improved
•A glitch that allowed vehicles without any extras to spawn (i.e. lightless taxis) has now been addressed
•Fix for all submachine guns sounding the same when any of them are used to perform a drive-by
•Fixed corona lines rendering on non-NVIDIA graphics cards.
•extra6 can now be picked by the game when a random extra is to be picked
•Fix for light glows not showing under pickups/fire has been redone from scratch
But while Silent Patch is the only thing crashing my game, the other mods often shown alongside SP (ginput, widescreen fix) are having issues too. Widescreen fix does what it says on the tin, but every time I hit escape I get to see "Rockstar Presents" for a second, and Ginput straight up doesn't work at all.
I've reinstalled my game, restarted my PC, tried running the game in compatability modes for XPsp3 and ME, as well as admin, and tried deleting the "gta_vc.set" file (doing so fixed GTA:SA so maybe it would work here too), but so far no change. I'm also running on Windows 10.
That is fixed by SilentPatch for years now.
Well this was unfortunate timing...
Lol. Guess I made a huge faux pas on my part.
