Can't drive backwards (fixed)

For some reason I can't drive backwards in cars. The reversing lights go on, but the car doesn't move at all, well sometimes it does 1 or 2 times and sometimes it moves backwards really slow.

I get that as well, there's some odd things in the game at the moment that don't add up. For example, the fountain near the gun shop on the first island is nothing like I remember it...

30 fps suck, but it works at least.

I figured out that only a few cars can't drive backwards when frame limiter is off. The others work perfectly.

Didn't work for me all the time, but sometimes driving backwards worked. Bikes seem to be least effected.

there's a mod here, it's working with gta iii and vice city http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=15178

you have to install cleo into your game folder to run this, i'm playing gta iii with this at 70 fps cap with anyy problem

I'll have to use this, playing at 30fps makes me feel sick.

I had the same problem and made my own solution. If you use RivaTuner and lock your fps to 60 it will fix it and your game won't be laggy
