Wanted to play and enjoy this game

NOPE. Completely unplayable--can't hardly aim at things worth crap and died on simple missions that should be easy to get through but because you can't aim--you die. Love the music of this game--but cannot play this

did you turned ON widescreen? if yes turn it OFF this is what causes you the bad aiming

I can aim perfectly fine, even with widescreen turned on.

Vice City's aiming is extremely dated, yes, but it's not worth abandoning this great game for one flaw (unless you have other ones). Try lock-on, it's much easier. It'll be worth it, too.

Me? I don't think I did anything. Or, at least nothing that I can remember. I can just start the game up and play fine.

just use your mouse and keyboard when youre shooting things. bam. problem solved. aiming is now perfect.

Are you using a controller? Because if you are you need to use auto-aim. That's just life.

If you are using a kb & mouse you have a zoom feature with assault weapons, sniper, mp5 etc., It's a pretty standard aiming reticle.

I personally think this is a better game when it comes to aiming than the sequel, GTA San Andreas. In the sequel your head is sometimes right in the middle of the screen and will block your aiming. So if this is too frustrating, don't bother playing San Andreas.
