Updates from the Dev (May-Nov 2024) - compiled here

Although I share everyone's frustration at the lack of updates, I noticed that the dev did post several times this month in the Events and Announcements section of the forum. Why there and not in General? I don't know. Why not a quick "News" update? I don't know.

Nevertheless, I thought it would be useful to compile the dev's comments here in the general forum so that people actually see it. I hope this is somewhat helpful ...to someone.

We do! Can't give any dates yet, but we are working on the game updates, althought we still need time to finish and polish some stuff.

No, we didn't! The updates turned out pretty tough, so we are still working on it, but don't worry – a lot of stuff is already implemented and we are closer to update release than ever. We still need to implement some stuff, content, and then polish, test, and only then release.

We are going to put out new features and content, it just takes time and we can't release unfinished update, because it will ruin the game. When it's ready, we'll be glad to share it with you, and hopefully you'll like it! It's better to make it late and right than early and broken.

Hope everyone involved is in good health etc. would be great to hear from a dev with at least a status update.

Art for Garden Update is almost 100% ready (except some fine-tuning and regular small fixes, which is like 20% of the Artists' time), we are currently in a phase of implementing, testing, balancing and a bit of R&D. So these posts/PR activities don't interfere with the development of the update.

We'll release the Update 2.0 as soon as we can, but we have to be sure that it meets our quality standards and is fun to play! We don't want to show unfinished product, because it's not how we want players to see the new update first time.

I can assure you that it's already in a very good shape, and we are close to finishing it, but we still need to polish some things, add some content, and make a few optimizations so it works smoothly.

Good news. On discord they have confirmed the update will contain the garden, the base, and the skill tree. Thats partly why it's taking so long.

Yeah shadow posting stuff like this doesn't give me the best confidence. Steam has news posts for a reason. I'm certainly getting the ones where they're selling this stuff in bundles. It's puts me off of the whole thing.

Them recycling the same "Just gotta polish and test a few more things! :)" lines leads me to believe that we're not going to see this update for quite a while longer, if ever. If it was as close as they claim we'd have gotten something by now to build the hype a bit and get people excited for the update, especially with the constant barrage of "update when?" they face on a daily basis.

Alas they have given us nothing because they have nothing to give.

OP... Do you know anything else, about the game or if the garden update was canceled or still on?

The only other info I have is from the game’s discord, and the long-time players have been saying that (based on the timeframe of previous updates) we should not expect the update until the very last minute, i.e. late December.
