It wont let me plant crystals in the cave??Anyone know why ive learnt the skill.????

Because they don't go on the cave. They go in the grotto which is later sold by the Minotaur.

When you say "cave" do you mean the crystal grotto?

Can't plant crystals in the mushroom cave, only in the grotto: you need to plant them on enchanted quartz.

So you need crystal seeds from the crystal guy, and access to the grotto.
Then you should be able to plant them.
You don't need the "re-plant" skill which lets you move them around, to be able to do the initial planting.
