Disappointed with new stone and salt recipes.
I had carefully crafted and saved all the necessary recipes in my book for the stones and salts and ordered them according to their placement in the lab, it was a lot of effort, but now apparently the recipes have changed and all that effort and time is now wasted. I don't think I'll be coming back, major disappointment.

You can now save the entire salt recipe instead of every little piece of it- and you only have to save it once the Salt/Crystal has been made, Saving each individual potion in a list.

So it's much better than before, and you'll be happy that you no longer have to put so much effort into remembering and ordering all of the salts. But, yes- unfortunately you will need to remake the salt and save that recipe.

Honestly it's not that big of a deal. I restarted anyway because I wanted to get the full experience with the new content. It doesn't take that long to redo the recipes especially since they are easier and it is SO NICE not to have to save every single recipe in the alchemy machine recipes now that you can save the whole thing!!! Makes for a way less cluttered book!!!

"You made the game better so I'm done, I'm never coming back"

that's what you sound like. everyone did what you did and the rest of us are starting new games.

That is not how it sounds in my ears.

And of course there is only a small portion of players that don't start the game anew, and an even smaller portion of those are really pissed off. The scenario you insinuate is never going to happen.

And though I don't like the opinion of Brandon, I'm respecting it. All I can do is to invite him to put his anger aside and enjoy all the good new things they brought by starting over. If he still doesn't want to do this (for whatever reasons) I just accept it. It's ok. The game won't die of this, but even if it would, imho Brandons decision has still to be accepted.

Ok... so perhaps only play fully released games if you dont want crafting recepies changing?

Got some children responding to my post. I get it, you like the changes, you like that it's easier. I actually like that they added the new gardens and the skill tree they did lots of good things. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the salts and stones recipes. I liked the difficulty of it. Creating all the recipes and organizing everything actually felt like an achievement, Not anymore. Kind of funny to express disappointment and for petulant children to distort it into something more than it is but go off kiddies.

Ok so... maybe EA titles are not for you? Have you considered playing fully released titles if changes to crafting recepeies in a not released game makes you this upset? XD

This is the definition of petulant.
I'm sorry that I hurt your delicate sensibilities and that there are people who have opinions that differ from yours. Why should my decision to leave or that I voice my disappointment on the forum cause you so much contempt? Now I'm just disappointed in you. You were raised better.

Lol no youre the one putting on a petulent attitude. You are receiving what you put out in the world mate. So out of interest, could you briefly describe what an EA game is? XD

What in my original post aggrieved you so? That I said I was disappointed ( oh no what will you do with yourself ) that I said I wasn't coming back ( again, how awful, you must be beside yourself ). Go pet a cat or something, I think it's suppose to therapeutic.
Velvet Waltz Dec 10, 2024 @ 12:01pm
you probably should turn off updates if you want the game to stay the same forever.

it is also, in every single title in existence, strongly advised to not continue old saves on new patches. ESPECIALLY so on early access titles. you knew what you were getting into, and your complaint is thus useless as feedback. you just wanted to rant and people rightfully told you its your own fault and you got defensive.

Did he tho? He sure doesnt act like he understands what EA entails. Hes even avoiding asking a direct question about it.

Although I disagree with op, I think you are distorting the fact that they changed the recipe after the full release. Not that I think it was a full release to begin with.

This is fair however feedback isn't useless, it's about volume and obviously most people don't agree with me and that's fine.
You're right about the saves and I could have lost the progress on any update.
As for my reaction, I was only responding to the petty ones. A have no issues with several posters, yourself included, that disagree with me. It's true, that progress was never guaranteed though I still prefer the old recipes.

edit.
apparently the game left early release 2 years ago
