Trouble Planting Crystal Seeds

Maybe I'm just tired, but I can't seem to plant my crystal seeds anywhere in the cave? I bought the cave addition from the Minotaur, and bought some crystal seeds from the Crystalmancer, but I can't seem to plant them. I tried everywhere in the cave but nowhere seems to be the "enchanted quartz" I am supposed to plant crystals on? Am I missing something?

One. The caves you plant mushrooms in and the caves you plant crystals in are separate.
Two. In order to plant crystals you need to acquire the skill to plant crystals.
If you can't plant crystals after fulfilling all of these requirements then I think there's something wrong.

Hey! You'll need to unlock the Crystal Grotto to plant Crystals; as mentioned in the comment above, the Cave is for Mushrooms!

How do you go about buying the crystal grotto? I'm on day 27, completed chapter 5 but have not had the option to buy it yet??

You need to give enough potions to the minotaur. Minotaur sells all garden upgrades

Sorry I don't. I wasn't really paying attention. Probably like 4 or 5? It's the last garden upgrade you get and each one comes after a potion so I imagine around there.

Why on God's green earth would you allow Crystal seeds to be sold to the player so early?
This is like logging into the game, getting to day 5, and they start asking for wine potions- which you cannot make.

Did you guys even try your update before publishing it?
Generally good changes, but the optimization is awful and the balance is a joke

The hyperbolic language is a bit much, but I do agree, the crystal seed merchant started showing up before I had even seen the Minotaur twice, and by sounds of it, its not even possible to plant a crystal seed until the Minotaur has visited 6 or 8 times assuming you have the cash on hand to buy what you need every time he shows up. It needs some type of adjustment, either delaying the crystal seed merchant significantly, or greatly increasing the frequency the Minotaur will show up.

I'm glad I had the seeds ready to go. Seems like a total non-issue to me.

I'll note that when selling you the crystal seeds, that merchant mentions that there should be some space to plant them under your enchanted tree, which is the space the second garden upgrade gives you. I was similarly quite confused after unlocking that cave and finding there was still no place to plant crystals.
