How many is too many? Can you pile all your blank ones up into closely packed overlapping stacks, so that they take up as little space as possible?
Whenever you save a new potion, it always goes onto the furthest anti-clockwise blank page, so you can make sure that the top of the stack is the one furthest anti-clockwise so that you don't have to hunt to find it.
