And yea, it's a game about making potions and we bought a game about making potions, but by the time you get to the later legendary recipes there's little to no real challenge left in making potions. That's the issue with games like this that have very simple and easy to grasp mechanics. Yes, you can get intricate with them and you can find ways to optimize it (and I love doing that) but you really don't need to. More often than not the same few ingredients will get the job done and so long as you have a stockpile of them you're set. This wasn't hard to do pre-garden update either, if you're good at haggling you could stockpile hundreds of each herb/shroom and dozens of each mineral very early on.
All of this to say, it's fine the way it is now and far less tedious than it was prior.
