Saw a hooded figure in the shop today

No sure. I had the same guy. Now i am level 27 day 23 working on chap 5 and have yet to see him again.

This guy appeared to me after a couple of day went by after kicking out a guy that 'demanded' I supply him with poison and said something about a 'contract.' When kicked out he threatened afterwards, so I thought it was him trying to be all spooky. I was confrontative when the hooded guy showed up, yelled at him a couple times, he didnt say a thing- then nothing.

Same. He just appeared then looked around and quickly leaved.

Anyone tried this with negative karma? My shop was pretty far in the positive karma when he showed up, and wondering if it's something for negative karma shops.

I was at +10 ish. Possibly he's a new quest NPC if he's talked to in the right way. @gazeofdisaster I've been giving poison guy poison and he still showed up, so it's not that.

He showed up for me and I couldn't get him to say anything but I did get him to look back before he finally left. I did wonder if a specific dialogue would unlock his request.

I have -100 karma and same thing. Saw him at the start of the game then never again. Still very curious.

He might just be a joke/reference to D&D. The cliché of a new rouge player just being edgy and standing around doing nothing other then being "mysterious". That's my best guess, it could just be a sneak peak at future updates.

Could the figure be the original owner of the house?

Maybe they finally come back after being gone for all those years/months and see someone else has converted it to a successful alchemy shop and the owner is seemingly nice/good.... so they simply leave and go back to their adventure or whatever they were doing.

Theres a line somewhere that mentions that the house used to belong to an old wizard/alchemist, im guessing from that and by the state of the equipment in the basement that he had research go wrong, something exploded, and caused him to lose his memory, too me that explains why the hooded figure acts how he does.

im pretty far into the game, i nearly have alchemical salt and the whole book complete, and i havent seen him again yet

Commenting with the same questions as others have had since last year. He came into my shop and I said nothing. He never returned. I'm on day 140 with 100% completion. I've spent several days at 15 popularity with both good and bad karma. I'm at a loss as I was really interested in this mysterious stranger

Tried this on both 100 and -100 rep, no difference, he still leaves. Nothing special is written on him on wiki page, so i guess it is just a joke to make you regret making seemingly wrong choices
