Romancing The Merchants?
I know this probably sounds a little stupid/silly and probably not intended for the development path of the game, but I was playing the new update and thought to myself, hey there's a lot more merchants now, imagine if you could romance one and then I went down that rabbit hole. It wouldn't be like, dating sim content or anything but more in the realm of what Stardew Valley kind of does, and idk maybe get like certain bonuses from partners. I'm honestly not quite sure why this thought crossed my mind, and obviously you can't have the mushroom man cause he has a wife, but no matter how stupid it is it would be a funny addition.

I could be persuaded to engage in some mild hand-holding, if it would get me a discount.

There already thousands of sexual/dating/NSFW games on steam. we dont need that smut in every game thank you.

That's a fantastic idea, I would play the game more often if I could do something like that!

I've thought about this too.

My original alchemist would very much like to chat with the herbs lady a little more, maybe grow crystal as a gift. My current alchemist always has a great day when the furniture lady visits, he could cultivate a flower for her, and have a few more dialogue options.

Done in the right way, with a light touch, some kind of relationship possibility with the merchants would be a great addition, IMO.

I can't imagine what kind of puritan bubble somebody would have to live in to consider dating and romance "smut". I don't think the game needs any extra scenes or family life mechanics, but simply having a meter over the heads of common NPCs that you can fill in order to unlock better stock and free gifts would be pretty cool. In fact, the game already has mechanics relating to good and evil, so maybe the meter could go both ways and if you're not careful you might end up making enemies.

That said, development on this game is fairly slow and there are a good number of things I'd rather have than this, so... gotta get those priorities in order.

Not everything needs romance in it. It gets tiring.

I agree it would be fun, and I'd certainly be pleased to see it, but I give it a very low priority as it's outside the current scope of the game.

For the looks of her, yes. However, the constant waterfall of speech coming out of her mouth would shred my nerves already in minute 1.

Huh, imo she actually has a distinct personality and enthusiasm. I wish we could establish a friendship with her.

Yeah, that's true. Nevertheless she would shred my nerves in an instant. Others may find this even attractive, of course.

As a person with ADHD I love her. Just talking excitedly about what she loves and then forgetting halfway through what the convo is or what she was even doing. Most relatable character in an indie game by far.

Not stupid, but maybe a little silly. Potion Craft isn't an RPG with romance features. It's a strategy game based on trying to do the best you can, making potions, and selling them to the public. You know that, I know that, and since that's the case, maybe you should consider buying BG3. It's a fine game, and if you want romance options, it offers those in spades. Enjoy.
