Furniture lag
Having a lot of shelves and tables in the store, or anywhere for that matter makes it really laggy when switching rooms or opening vendors shops. Mind you, I play red dead redemption 2 and elden ring on the highest graphics on here, so its not a hardware issue.

Yeah, the frame loss is substantial, and I don't understand why. It's not a hardware issue for me either, my system resources aren't being taxed by this game, so I'm assuming the game is poorly optimized. I hope it's something that can be fixed, though.

What do you consider a lot? I have 48 "loose" items (things you can move freely, including potions), 19 surfaces (shelves and furniture) and 13 static items (can only be moved in build mode) and my performance hasn't changed yet.

Yeah i can confirm this. My example is like: 2 shelves on the wall, two tables and a chair. Then in total like 8 things (cups and similar stuff) and like 5 - 8 potions for decoration.
FPS drop very quickly for me. So yeah thats an actual issue.
Without these couple things i run my 144 fps, but the decorations tank it big time.

Maybe its different for different people, I have around 20 or so bits of furniture, havent counted just guessing, and my fps drops quite a lot. Before I had a bit more, maybe around 30 if my guess of 20 was right, and it was dropping to about 20 - 30 fps when switching rooms or opening merchant tabs: I normally run the game above 200 fps

Other people here seem to agree too

Agreed, my frames drop from 150 to 30 and stabilize at 40-60 in the main shop room where I have around 40 potions & decorations and like 7 shelves, which is very noticeable with how framey it feels

It's happened to me now, after about 100 items. Feels kinda weird though, looking at my overlay, my frames drop to around 150 when switching scenes or opening menus, then slowly creep back up to 240 again.

nasa computer or something, idk, ive got around 15 furniture items and one of every potion down in my shop on display, and it runs okay, but going much over, smt like 20 - 30 bits of furniture makes it very difficult to enjoy. It is just an optimisation issue i think since it is a new update, thanks for ur input tho, strange that not everybody is experiencing it

I'm also having this issue, the game is still very playable but it is noticeable and kind of annoying

I've also been having this issue which is really sad as I love decorating my space ☹️

I am also having this issue, hope it gets fixed soon!

+1

Same happens with me.

I'm also having this issue - hoping the devs see this and implement some optimization soon? I say that because I ADORE the new additions to the game and want to be able to play, but there's a lot of items (even in my inventory) that are lagging out the game and making it slower running.

well it's a given that hardware differences will show for different people when pushing an unoptimised game to the lag point. I hope it gets streamlined soon.

so annoying

I have the same issue... it sucks because I love to have all my potions on display on shelves in the store in order not to have to search them in my inventory all the time :/
