How to get the Very Large XP Books? And Whirlpool/Gem questions
Hello all! Enjoying this game so far but I can't figure out the following things.

1) I have to collect one of the very large XP books to advance in the game, however, they are all behind bone walls. How do I break through the wall without losing the potion to collect them?

2) How do the whirlpools work? I thought passing through the center would send me somewhere, but that doesn't do anything and I can't figure out how to turn them on.

3) What use are the Stones for you can buy? Again, I'm not sure how they work.

1) Several ways:

a) The crystal ingredients sold by the dwarf have a dotted line for their movement. When you use these ingredients, you teleport to the end of their line without passing through the intervening space.

b) Sometimes a whirlpool sends you into an enclosed area

c) Sometimes you can pass through a bone wall with regular movement, if it's thin enough and you go straight enough that you're not touching it for too much distance

d) There are giant XP books that you can get without going through bone walls at all if you explore far enough out

2) Whirlpools are activated by the bellows (the same tool you use to add potion effects to your potion). If you pump the bellows just a little bit, you can use the spinning for some free movement. If you keep pumping until you get sucked into the middle of the whirlpool, you teleport somewhere nearby (which will be marked on the map once you've done it once).

3) Not sure what you're referring to here

I'm guessing the "stones" are the crystals you buy from the Dwarf. You can also occasionally buy them from the merchant in yellow who wears a brown hat when he comes around. The crystals cost a lot more than normal ingredients so unless you have a huge stock of them they should only be used for specific recipes like the ones for the alchemy machine.

Okay, the stones I was referring to in item 3 is that crystals, so that all ties together. Thanks!
