What to do with compatible effects request?
You sometimes get someone who wants a potion with compatible side effects but I don't get what they want. Like someone may want a potion to douse a fire but wants additional effects so I make him a potion of cold and healing so they can heal themselves if they get burned or something but they don't accept the healing effect and only pay for the cold effect. I look up a guide to see what to do but I only found the basic stuff, nothing about what to do in this situation.

Using a potion of frost to douse a fire means you're not drinking it. The healing effect does nothing.
I'm not sure what additional effect you can add, but trying for healing doesn't really make sense.

As far as I managed to figure it out - any effects are okay, as long as you do not try to mix positive and negative ones. It means that you could give this customer a potions of frost, fire and poison and it would've worked. Don't ask what kind of sense it is supposed to make, I had happy customer walking out of my shop with potion of Rage, Libido and Swiftness.

Oh I see, so it doesn't have to relate to their current situation tho wouldn't fire and frost cancel each other out? Eitherway that does make a lot more sense than what I was thinking, thanks!

If there are multiple potions that could work for a request, you can earn extra money by selling a potion with 2 good effects, even if they don't specifically request multiple effects. For instance, when someone asks for a potion to make them a better hunter, a potion of 3 vision + 2 dexterity sells better than either 3 vision or 3 dexterity alone. (But I suspect it's important to keep the most expensive effect at 3 strength.)

Someone who specifically says they'll pay extra for every additional effect will pay you even for irrelevant effects, and seems to pay the most for a potion with 5 different weak effects (even though you're weakening the "main" effect to make space).

I don't particularly understand how the "incompatible effects" thing works, though. Customers sometimes say "I'll buy this potion, but I'd prefer one without side-effects", so presumably "incompatible effects" is something worse than merely including an effect they don't like. I'm not sure whether it's customer-specific or if there's some universal table of "never combine X with Y under any circumstances" or what.

i imagine "incompatible effects" would be like,.. fire & frost, enlarge & shrink, etc...
compatible would be swiftness & dexterity, acid & venom, etc...

I've gotten a bunch of "incompatible" where the effects are not opposites, so it can't be as simple as that.
I did some more digging and effect compatibility is both a lot more complicated and a lot simpler than it appears. Basically negative effects are incompatible with positive effect negative being an effect that physically harms someone and positive being something that doesn't, so healing and poison don't go together for instance. There are also neutral effects like charm and sleep which basically go with everything within reason, so sleep doesn't go with berserker for instance and like I suspected, fire doesn't go with frost. There are some outliers like healing goes with slowness while necromancy doesn't go with anything. Effects can also be incompatible if they go against the requests of a client, so if a client wishes for a light potion because they're afraid of fire then fire would be incompatible with light despite light and fire being compatible otherwise.
