How do you rotate potions?
there's certain potions that require you to rotate the potion icon while brewing to get a tier 3 potion, and idk how you're supposed to do this.

anyone know how this is done?

Or find the effect on a different map which may have the effect rotated in a different direction. Chances are for some effects you will always need to use salt.
For example the lightning protection potion is tilted slightly to the side on the Water map but is straight up and down on the Oil map

ahh, i see now! I leveled faster than the story progressed, so I had yet to find out about the sun/moon salts (i only recently unlocked void salt in my new run for the beta)

Yeah your potion requests are based on your level and are not tied to the story which is based on finishing the Alchemist's path book. If you level faster than finishing the Alchemist path you will not gain access to certain aspects of the game when you need them.
Such as the Oil map, parts of the alchemy machine, etc.

No. I was thinking the same as you but potion orders and alchemy upgrades tied to your current chapter, levels are irrelevant. Still, I found advancing the chapters slowly is a much better option. You can easily accumulate lots of resources, advance your level, popularity, etc. and when you advance your chapter, you can sell higher tier potions for a higher price due to your talent and popularity.

Wrong. Progression is based on chapters, as well as tasks you complete. Such as finished chapter 4 means that the Alchemist will have the Oil Map available to purchase.

Please stop spreading false info.
