Stuck on chapter 4

In the alchemist's path I can't finish the task "Collect big experience book on the alchemy map". I tried to collect all kind of books I found but it didn't work. Can somebody tell me how to complete this task?

I collected a 4 book orb like this and the task did not complete. I am also stuck on this task. The orb was very far to the north, and I used an air crystal to get the orb which was fully encircled by bones.

Also, is anyone else having an issue with a memory leak causing 100% CPU usage and blue screens?

Thank you a lot Curious Duck! I didn't know there were ex books like that. After collecting one chapter 5 finally started!

nikhibailey Based on your description I think you collected a 5 book orb which is probably won't work for the task in the chapter 4 because it needs 4 book orb

I also thought this was a bug. Having a distinction between 4 and 5 book orbs is nonsense. Both are larger than regular orbs and are therefore 'big'. Only the smaller of the two passes this requirement, which is just confusing. It also doesn't help that seemingly all of them are beyond boney walls, which means some players won't even be aware of their existence.

Not all are beyond walls, but none are in the open, so you either need crystals to jump over walls or you need to go maze delving, moving around corners in narrow corridors.

Don't forget that the whirlpools can now teleport you as well. I once was teleported inside a closed space and gathered the large experience orb there but had to restart the potion afterwards.

How to use whirlpools to teleport? They look inactive

Have your potion touching the whirlpool, then heat the potion using the bellows. The whirlpool will start to spiral; heat it enough and it will draw your potion into the center and teleport it.
