Turns out he wanted a potion of libido, but I really think he should have tried my recommendations.
DONT give him acid. The blade will become useless if he puts acid on it, it's common sense.
Yes, a fictional game...about alchemy, a fictional pseudoscience is common sense :)
You probably should sell him a potion of safe sex. There are far too many bastard swords in the world as it is.
OP specifically said that the customer rejected a lightning potion, though.
While it may not be obvious to you, many people find it obvious because many people play other games, like fantasy RPG's and the like. Most fantasy gamers instinctively know "Mana potions" and "berserk" potions have a positive effect on the user. Therefore, they would be AWFUL effects to add to your blade, and wouldn't make any sense in this context. A "berserk-imbued sword," for instance, would make the opponent you're fighting MORE DIFFICULT to kill. The mana potion would recharge your foe's magical abilities.
Understanding the effects of the potions helps in this area, and there's a wiki that can help you if you have difficulty knowing which is which. It IS obvious when you understand the purpose of the potions, but it's a game about trial and error. You're supposed to mess up and move on sometimes.
OP clearly misspoke (He said "electric" potion) because he was mistaken on the type of potion. That customer WILL accept a lightning potion. I give them that potion exclusively for the profit.
Yes. Acid on a sword = damaged sword. This is common sense.
If you're making a joke, that's pretty funny. If you're serious, no ♥♥♥♥. When was the last time you became horny after eating a handful of fertilizer lol? That's the type of growth the game's talking about.
Firstly, Sorry "Lightning," I didn't think someone would get THAT pendantic. And maybe the game has been updated since this occurred, but no, I assure you when I did it, he did not accept lightning.
Second, I never said I tried acid, I know that's common sense IN REAL LIFE, but since the game is about alchemy; a FICTION about making MAGICAL POTIONS, common sense from reality doesn't always transfer. Would an acid POTION just BE acid, or would it IMBUE acid like properties...? A lightning potion is not JUST LIGHTNING in a bottle, it imbues lightning properties. A Fire potion is not just fire in a bottle, it imbues fire like properties.
PS as an Avid player of D&D take your pompous "IF YoU pLAyEd MoRE RpGs" horseapples and jog on.
What a condescending prick.
Edit :( oh just tried and heøll actually say 'those effects are incompatible'
