I don't think there will be a mobile version in the near future, it's just a marketing thing.

If they announce a mobile version, a lot of people would stop wanting to buy the game on Steam, as they would wait for the mobile version.

They'll release the game on Steam (when early access is done), and when the sales go down, they'll announce a mobile port.

Yeah I reckon there won't be a mobile version for at least the next 3 years or so.

What market research are you reading that suggests this is the case? Do PC sales suffer when a game is released on consoles? No. Bigger audience = more sales.

I own this on Steam and I would pay a second time to play it on iPad as well.
