Censored in Australia?

Can any Aussies who own this on Steam confirm if this (or any) GTA games are censored here? I'm interested in rebuying these for PC, but not on Steam if they are the censored versions, obviously.

The only thing that appears to be censored in the Australian is the sexual content going by this video and the level of violence seem to be intact, but you cannot attract hookers to have sex with them and increase your HP. You can try and use SilentPatch to bypass this censorship issue.

But does that mean the current *Steam* release given to Australian customers is indeed the censored "no hookers" version? Or is that video is talking about the original PS2 and PC disc releases, which were definitely censored here?

If it is censored on Steam, that's a huge shame and a deal-breaker for me, definitely. I own the game on other platforms and formats, thankfully, but this means it's not worth me rebuying it on Steam if I can't be sure it won't be crippled! :(

Yes; the Steam version is likely based off the v1.1 release of the PC retail releases, and I'm sure it was also censored for the console versions as well. SilentPatch however might uncensor the game for you, though.

If you watch Vadim m video you can actually disable the AU censore, It's actually easier on AU than German and French ;) you just have to enable: noProstitutes = true in the game files, because AU have it on false,

i can confirm everyone has the censored version steam runs version 1.1. im from Australia but my gta3 was gifted to me from europe, Switzerland which is uncut.

edit- mine cant have sex with prostitutes.

i own the rockstar collection (eu) which is uncut.

it seems all steam versions are the same version censored. besides germany and france they have there own

You should download the Silent Patch. It fixes a bunch of stuff and also removes censorship. Source: My German (usually censored) version is uncensored.
