But now we don't want to promise.
But we understand where you are going;)
Exactly, maybe one other zombie survival game gives this option.
We are playing with this idea now and exactly now testing whether it is technically possible - which seems to be the case ok.
But we must consider all the pros and cons with respect to the whole logic of the game.
But...
I think having a static base in these survival games is cool, but at the same time you limit yourself to a small portion of the map instead of roaming around. Having a mobile base allows players to travel the map and explore with a sense of safety and a net to catch them should they die so far from base.
Exactly, i would rather focus on 1 mobile base then keep building base after base after base with hubs to stop into and upgrade my vehicle. Even towing a travel trailer would work.

YES! Awesome! Can you customize the inside? Add armor? Maybe solar panels for power. Nice driving btw lol.
On a seperate note are you guys going to create a procedural world with points of interest like 7 days to die? I would love to just keep driving hense my name, and just go fishing, hunting on and on.
Basically, there will be a bed, a stove and a crate - this will probably have to be made by the player to make it accessible.
Then we'll see what next.
It's very complicated, because we have cars and their behavior designed for a slightly different behavior than this :)
-------
Procedural world:
we toyed with this idea, we have several tests, etc. that worked.
The problem is with the performance - since it is something else to generate the world while walking (when the speed of movement is slow and there is enough time to generate) - but when driving a car it is necessary to generate everything faster and there are fps drops during generation, etc.
Maybe sometimes over time for "scenarios".
For a some future scenario, we can try to revive our previous tests with a fully procedural world, but at this time it is not yet on the agenda.
Also, I'm sure enemies will have better weapons than a pistol that uses rifle ammo for some reason. I can't seem to get my pistols to do that rifle damage that raiders do. However, I've bought all the weapons and I'm now saving for all the tier 3/4 armor.
The layout is here, just waiting for the rest of the pieces :)
In the new update, however, firearms will be changed (their attributes such as accuracy, etc. will be adjusted) and there will also be 8 different pistols and 2 new assault rifles available. Over time, there will be logically more.
The enemies now have only pistols (although they drops ammunition for all available weapons :) ) - we have not yet implemented different animations to have other firearms - these are all small details, which once will be tuned so give the game a better impression. But at this time we are at the beginning and step by step everything is improving.
It is the same with the world - gradually sector by sector will be finalized. We first focus on outposts and key connected locations in the area and then on the final details.
We have in the process of developing and testing an underground location (similar to an old mine with a bunker that is already available in the game - near the first outpost), bunkers, preppers bases, shops, small towns, farms, etc.
It all takes time and it is not possible to do it all from day to day and also illogically with regard to the fact that the game is already played by players and it is necessary to make a compromise between priorities.
