Cant unlock plots.

Cant seem to unlock plots, Even if I click on the unit thats plotting. What am I doing wrong or is it bugged?

You need to open the full menu for the creature, and go to the "plots" tab. You need to inspect the actual plot. I believe this is the same as for all other traits/items/unlockable thingies that don't depend on achievements, in that you need to literally hold/swipe your mouse over the plot icon itself to unlock.

I have managed to unlock a lot of plots this way, though some plots are faaaaar more common than others, and some are entirely dependent on what cultures/religions/etc. are present in your game.

i realised plots are bugged and the achievement is unobtainable

Click on the start new plot tab. If you've discovered enough plots the achievement should happen then.
