Maybe dude just left the tab open over night, i keep my computer on 24/7.
there are household appliances that you naturally want running 24/7 year-round that draw more power than a PC with a pixelated screensaver.
isn't your pc like exploding if u leave it on 24/7
No leaving it on is better because the electrical surges from turning it on and off constantly for years doesn't get to wear the parts as much.
It's true. I kept my desktop PC on for about 5 years before the motherboard died, and it was an older used model I had bought from a friend. I only turned it off when I was gone from the house for like a day or more.
i'll just throw the basic physical properties of mundane metal into the mixture.
it shrinks when cold and expands when warm...
its not much but it still is stress that causes micro damage over time.
the less a piece of metal has to "work" the happier it will be... just looking at all those tiny solder points and wires that are inside a plain old computer.
