Question About the World Ages

I was just wondering, as I have been fiddling with the World Ages in my current world, do the Ages follow one another in the order as the buttons are presented, or in the order in which you click the buttons on? The Age of Moon has followed the Age of Hope three times already (I may have messed up the flow by clicking certain age buttons on and off in the order I had wanted them to go in the early game phase, kind of as a second thought). Or is it just random?

in the order the buttons are represented, but you can turn them off and choose which ones you want to have in your game

Thanks for replying power man. Too bad they can't be queued in the order you want them in. I might make a suggestion to the devs about that.
