not worth 20$
this game is so pathetic and boring that you can basically finish all the fun stuff in 30 minutes, how on earth does the developer think that this game is worth it's current price?

The developer has also participated in a grand total of ZERO Steam sales, which is generally how people get convinced to buy a ported title like this and feel like it was reasonable to do so.

Is it really that shocking people think this is over priced? It's cool if you enjoy it and all. But most of the time spent "playing" a game like this is just letting it run in the background.

dude, there's alot of mods and maps, they really are deluded :steamfacepalm:
Maps shouldn't be included in this since I can easily make them myself, I am talking specifically about mods, there are 20 mods in the workshop, you call that many? I think you're the deluded one.
Compare it to Rimworld, Kenshi, Cities Skylines or Project zomboid, who have thousands of real mods and not just some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ maps.
proven my point instantly, the workshop is expanding and you still think there are hardly any

tbf, the mod support is still something to improve upon on. They are not quite workshop ready, since they need an external installation, which for some, especially for more casual gamers and those who are overly paranoid/cautious or simply not interested enough, is a turn off for using/engaging with them.

In my case I am not interested in mods, mostly because of not risking to contaminate my old save files, which I kept running for ingame millennia. Though I am intrigued by this mod that regenerates/erodes places on the map automatically.

Not saying it is not a plus in case of WorldBox, but I think it needs time to be really counting atm.

If the next update gives us more control over the nations/people, and we actually face some consequences for the things we do to the world, I think then it would justify the $20 price tag.

But I have to agree with OP. As it stands, it's fun for creativity for a while and running in the background but really $10-15 is more reasonable. I only hop on nowadays for maybe 10-15 minutes... usually to plant the seeds of civilization.. then I come back hours later.

Still an awesome game though. Just hope it gets bigger/deeper with next update.

yeah......i agree with that, for some reason they've made it rediculously overcomplicated and there is one guy that gets extremely toxic at those needing help with the gunsmith mod

hopefully the mod situation improves. it's not good atm

It's a cute game, and for like 5 bucks I'd consider buying it, but it is absolutely not worth 20 bucks and the developer has done literally 0 sales. I know because I have it on my wishlist for years now. They're literally milking people with this while the original mobile game costs a fraction of this AND has a free to play / demo mode. For a 20€ god simulator I'd expect a lot more than a casual mobile game.

absolutely agree

Another Thing that bothers me: There are no real Problems besides War, Creature Attacks and Catastropes. You can just put two People on a tiny Desert Island and they will still somehow be able to build a Village because apparently they are Gods too that can create some Things from nothing. What are they making their Tents out of? I could put them on a volcanic World where no Tree has ever grown and no Animals roam and they will still somehow build Stuff
the game is trash and it's not worth 20 bucks. I tried the "demo" and it was so simple and feature lacking, don't waste ur money on this trash while you can get it for free on mobile.

Altought i do agree the price is a bit too much, the game is fun af SPECIALLY whit mods. Even the base game is still pretty fun and its not pathetic at all. If you read negative reviews of the game its mostly about the price. Ignoring that the game is awesome.

I got very little entertainment out of the mobile version.

for real, 13$ just for some modding support and a funny cursor?
