So... how do you actually save your game?

Just found out that I lost like 45 minutes of progress because I was under the assumption that the game periodically auto saved when (apparently, at least in this case) it did not. I don't see any obvious Save Game option, which led me to believe that there is no manual saving in this game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think you can, but for me it's been autosaving every time I do a transition, and also at certain important parts.

yeah it's a little annoying. when you have these big narrative swings it's nice to be able to save scum occasionally in case the game reads more into a choice than you did.

Your game should've autosave your progress each location transition, pay attention to bottom right corner.

I hate and love this mechanics. It prevents save scumming. Ensuring replay ability exist in this relatively short game.

@carllyngholm - I have experienced this in my only two play sessions. Each time losing about 20-25 mins. From what I have searched online, there is no way to force a save of your current progress. I even lost this progress after I had finished a conversation and transitioned to a new time period. When I went to either go to the main menu or quit it told me I had 20(ish) minutes since last save.
For me this is game breaking as I don't want to spend 30+ hours on a 15 hour game.

You can force a save by simply transition to a new area. Make sure you wait a few seconds on the new area, so that the save icon appears in the lower right corner.

This is the most annoying thing about the whole game! Sometimes it saves every minute, sometimes it doesn't save at all for half an hour.

I second that, I prefer tell the game when to save. When I have to leave for some reason, I like to know that I don't have to do a part of the game again, especially if that may be a significant part.

You can save scum, if You quit the game before the dialogue ends.

Before you quit the game, it shows you how much time passed since the last save. I try to enter on houses to force the save.
