I was hoping there would be a physical version on Switch but its unlikely to happen.

I'm hoping that it will eventually happen. This game looks too good to just be digital, and on steam.

Give it time to release on here and see how it sells/rates overall. Also it's a lot easier to work on ports with a finished game and not have to create multiple patches for each platform. I don't think I've ever seen an early access game on the switch or even 3DS now that I think about it.

Agreed. It's important to make sure a game is complete, and bug free, before making it in physical form.

Physical releases are VERY expensive compared to digital. And I really see no purpose for physical release other than if you are a game collector.
