Joking aside.. I believe there is an official Record of Lodoss War short series anime from around the 90's. I still need to watch it myself but apparently it isn't all that bad.
I googled it out of curiosity, can confirm the dub is kinda bad, and Deedlit is actually an annoying valley girl.
It does have the 90's anime charm though.
The original early 90s OVA was a truly epic fantasy/drama series, with tons of D&D influence. Not surprising because Lodoss War was basically a D&D campaign in Japan.
It originally was just a retelling of their actual D&D games.
First episode is definitely a great starter, but I feel like Deedlit's character gets more interesting further into the series. I really should rewatch, but I just remember thinking she was a lot more cunning and wise than I first presumed, just because she was so smitten by Parn.
