I finished in 9.8 hours at 100%, though I looked up the last few rooms (one of them is pretty troll)
I also really enjoy speedrunning, so I know I tend to implement some of those strategies even when I'm doing a blind playthrough.
All in all, it just comes down to how you enjoy playing and, in this game's case, the fact that some players had already thoroughly explored the first few chapters.
NOTE: I can't really speak to how similar this game is to Team Ladybugs other game, Tohou: Luna Nights, as I've never played it. That could be another way people are coming into this game pre-experienced, though.
I did pretty much everything and finished in 5 hours. Game doesn't have much in the way of exploration and secrets.
I've played tons of them. Yet I didn't go warp speed through the game. Hmmm....
I wouldn't call myself a pro gamer or something, the game is just pretty short and sparse on content, about the same deal as the developer's previous game, Touhou Luna Nights.
I just kept playing untill i covered all areas and then went to the last boss, and before i know it, the game was over.
Just a little over 5 hours of gameplay, not that i mind though, this is a game i could complete at least a few more times.
There really wasn't much to explore. I missed few secret rooms as I finished with 98% map and finished the game in about 5-6 hours.
You pretty much answered you own question in your other thread. Since you deliberately keep making the game more challenging to yourself by not using magic or items etc.
