Still DRM-Free forever though.
Are you upset because GOG is a better service, and you feel like you need to hate it, because you have over 2,700 games on Steam or what?
You do understand that Steam is a rental service, and even Valve has straight up said that much, right? I'll take GOG where I have full control over the software I purchase.
It's okay if this doesn't come to GOG, but I do hope the Developer / Publisher see this, and it does release on GOG. However, I won't mind too much if it doesn't, because all that means is that some other studio will get that money instead. Always plenty of stuff to buy, you know?
Anyways, hope you guys enjoy your fully released game, and congrats to the developer and publisher on leaving early access.
Oh noooo! How they dared to touch my precious game dream. How they dared to make a mistake, mistifying the game. How they dared to be so marvellous with their service, but so bad with their game development. Bad Cd Projekt for making a CP2077 bad, and Witcher 3 so good that was a dream.
Bad bad bad.
But still I want all the games that your service offered. Because...hey, you are bad, but I'm not stupid. I want suffer a loss for doing an Ethic Choice. No. I want to make a Ethic Choice with flaws. So many flaws that is clearly an Unethical choice.
BY THE WAY - Yes Cp2077 was a bad game. Not even comparable to The witcher 3 or the trailers of the game and all the promises etc. BUT Does it compromise the ENTIRE COMPANY? THE TOTALITY OF THE SERVICE THEY OFFER?
If you think that, just delete every game of GOG and buy them again on steam. That's an Ethical choice. Otherwise you are just whimpering around.
It's even funnier that I don't think he realises that GOG have even said this countless times to people before, I even asked them directly, and they said that GOG and CD Projekt Red operate as completely separate companies. They share the same building but that's where the similarities end. GOG doesn't have any word over what CDPR does, and CDPR doesn't have any influence over GOG at all.
Also, I noticed that none of the Team Ladybug games, like Drainus, are available on GOG either. Is it a developer choice or a publisher choice? Either way, I'd like to see Team Ladybug games released on GOG.
Steam is designed to be platform with worldwide support.
I can't tell the same for GOG though.
From what I've learned about this, only few really big Japanese companies like SQEX or Capcom with long experience in releasing games worldwide, publish their games on GOG. Even then, it's only selected few games with guaranteed success overseas, not all of them.
Big factor also might be that video game consoles are still more favored choice over gaming PC in Japan. For that matter, I'm glad if those games get at least Steam release.
Then again... Don't forget that there are still lot of Japanese video games that got very popular in Japan, but were never released in English for the western market.
There's also Sony, Sega, Nihon Falcom, Idea Factory, etc. Nihon Falcom release everything (by everything I mean their Western-localised versions) on GOG day one too.
What I meant by that is that if some Japanese publisher decide to go trough all the trouble to release the game also on PC, and outside of Japan as well, it might be easier for them to do so on Steam.
I'm no expert on this, but my guess is that GOG is simply not attractive in terms of marketing for them to publish their games an that platform.
And once again, as I mentioned earlier, for some "indie" publishers, it's small miracle they actually do worldwide release at least on Steam.
I wrote "big companies like SQEX or Capcom", not only those two. That would include Sony and Sega.
Playism however is not as big as Sony or Sega.
