Been having this message on the main menu screen when i start up the game. Im currently averaging 17 fps. I have a AMD Radeon RX 580, I've tried updating the drivers multiple times and it says im up to date, and i uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no luck. Even when I have the game at its lowest settings I'm still having some serious drops. Anyone have a fix?

I had to download a driver update and reboot for it to go away. Kind of surprised it drops below 30 fps at 1980 resolution on a 3080 at max settings. I know it's early access, but kind of surprised at how unoptimized it is at the moment.

Im sorry to say this, but the fix my be getting an updated GPU.

Your card is around 7 years old now, so the drivers on that card, even updated, may not be compatible with the tech in the game.

Even at 1080p, I dont see you getting any better performance as games get more and more advanced in new rending tech and your card is the card they have as the minimum spec.

The game using the latest FSR(AMD) and DLSS(NVIDIA) tech, which im not sure if cards as old as yours can even use. Not even cards like the GTX1080 can use this tech.

It might sound like an obnoxious question to ask but reality is that both an rx 580 and a ryzen 5 1500x released in 2017, both are min spec for the game.


Considering that you havent stated otherwise and that a gpu is often the newest and often also the most expensive component in a system then it stands to reason that your cpu might be older or cheaper and thus actually underspec.

Are you running FSR in the game settings? What performance level do you have it set to?

The RX 580 can use FSR, (as can the GTX 1080 for that matter - it's DLSS older cards can't use)

Are you gaming at 1080p?

Is your RX 580 the 4gb or 8gb version?

The game lags in case of frame drops at specific points upto now. Don't mind on hardware issues at this stage.

I get OPs same message every time I run the game and I'm running an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX sooo 🤷🏻‍♀️ this Asus ROG Im using is only 2 years old... probs just EA issues.

And I spent the time updating the drivers for it the first time I got the message too, so they're not out of date and they kept showing me that message at "play" every time.

My AMD Ryzen runs AMD Radeon graphics.

A Ryzen 5900HX does imply that your CPU has integrated graphics in it, which isn't very good at all. It's much weaker than just running a graphics card. A good gaming laptop should have an actual graphics card in it, when I had a gaming laptops a decade or so ago it had a GTX 980m in it, which was pretty good. Nowadays, my AMD rig has no issues with that error message on the most recent graphics drivers. Your graphics solutions on your laptop are either not recognized by the game due to its niche, or just not powerful enough, both are definitely possible.

My AMD Ryzen runs AMD Radeon graphics.

You don't even have a graphics card. Radeon graphics is just an integrated graphics on the CPU which is not for gaming but just for office use or Internet browsing.
And yes AMD CPU and GPU are minor to intel and Nvidia and 90% of all hardware issue only apply to AMD hardware across all games.

I'm running a 1070 and had to update also for this and another game...sign of the times.
I'm saving up for a Dell XPS Gaming system, Dell rocks out of the box, but I'm just lucky I guess, I know my screwdrivers too btw !
