Is there text chat in the game?

Hello, my friends and I like using games like these to roleplay while we play. Is there text chat in the game? If not could it be added in the near future?

An in-game text chat would be very important! There are a lot of people who don't play with voice chat. It would be great if something could be done there.

My friends and I don't like talking during roleplay it breaks immerision for us. Text Chat is our go to , and we do use discord but its easier to ahve in game chat window to read post t

I'm kind of surprised more people are not suggesting to 'just use discord'. The suggestions to "Just use Discord" are just absurd since this game has public servers, and plus, you have to alt-tab out of the game to access Discord to text chat with people. And while you could use steam, I found that the overlay makes the game crash a LOT for me, so I STILL have to alt tab out of the game to text chat. Not everyone likes, or wants to use voice chat so...
