Quick WF2 EA Review
The game is in Early Acces (Early development)
I have played in a lot of other Early acces games before, so I understood what I was going to get.

A fairly small portion, of a game in development, that at a later date will become a lot bigger, with new content being added every few weeks.

As a long time WF1 player, I want to give my general feeling about the game, and things I have noticed.

Before hand, I am running;
Ryzen 7800X3D 8 core
RTX 4070 SUPER (12gb)
32GB

I am able to set everything to ultra settings, on 1440p for a locked 60fps, and if there's a unlocked frame rate mode, probably far above 60fps

The good

- Graphics are a really nice upgrade, and I am not noticing a lot of weird glitching in the visuals in general.

- Sound in general is definately another big upgrade.

- The upgraded damage model is also very nice.

- The level op detail in the tracks are a noticable step up from WF1.

- The game feels a lot wilder like WF1, maybe its just me, I like it!

- The cars feel a LOT less floaty / riding on ice kind off, like they did in WF1.

- Quick load times from lobby to race.

- Tracks have much more objects placed on them now (Semi Flatout) Its good!

The bad

- Impacts of hits / hitting someone just does not work properly at the moment, it feels like you hit a pillow, then lost 50% health. (atleast not all the time).

- Hitting someone takes away WAY to much health from attacker.

- Tire damage is awesome, but its MUCH too weak, and too QUICK.

- Cars feel glued a bit too much to the road, flipping people is too hard.

- When cars flip, the car either just slides on its roof / or side, and does not keep flipping. This definately needs adjustment. WF1 had this issue as well in the early console release days.

- Having to port forward in online, is definately not something that should be the norm to host a game online. Its 2025, hopefully BugBear in the near future, can create a " Create game" button, and done!

These are just some things I wanted to point out, and I hope BugBear will take a look at some.

About the cars feeling glued to the road, you gota go back to Wreckfest 1 as i just did a few seconds ago. It is definitely a massive improvement in WF2, compared to WF1 in driving physics. Previous Title has had stalling engine whenever drifting, tiremodel was gripping on an insane anti fun level, this one doesnt suffer from beeing glued.

Personally i also agree on the damage model, it is a little too much right now, a single heavy hit can literally end the race, two heavy hits would be more nice lol :steamhappy:
No, what I meant, the cars used to be super glued to the ground as well in WF1, then they totally fixed that, and cars could realistically be flipped consistantly. Now its just not possible. This definately needs adjusting.

I meant in more in crash physics basically. Not the driving, it actually feels really good, and it no longer feels like you're sliding on ice, good improvement overal though.
