Kentrosaurus Helper

I'm struggling to get Kentrosaurus to Helper status. I've been feeding it fragrant food and petting it daily. Its pen is perfect for it, even set to the forest biome. I get it to about the halfway point and then go to bed, but when I wake up the next morning and the pen needs cleaning, it bounces it all the way back to under 25% of the way toward helper. Am I doing something wrong? It's been almost two weeks of this in game now.

To boost any dino to helper as quick as possible (they can all take varying times)

Daily: pet, clean, whistle song, TREAT: Make sure to give it the one that gives hearts (first time you'll get a popup saying "xx REALLY liked that xx" follow these and you'll have it done within a few days

Overall need: Correct biome and HERD status (make sure to check if needs to be in a pack)

the happy meter resets every day, because the happy points in it get converted to trust overnight, and that's what matters for achieving helper status. trust is a hidden stat. so like phoenix said, you do as many things for them that boost happiness as you can each day, and each night they all go towards the hidden trust stat. do it for a few days and eventually you'll have enough built up for helper.

oh thankyou! i only know as much about the helper-ification process as i do cuz of peajay i think, that hidden stat rollover mechanic was really tricky to me so it's the main thing i try to mention to other confused folks.

Another thing that raises happiness is taking them on walks and bringing them to visit their home biome. It's possible to max the happiness every day when you have their pen set to their preferred biome.

Visit pen
Pet
Treat
Flute their song
Have them follow you
Bring them to their home biome

That should max it out.

Then, as stated in other comments, the happiness determines how many trust points you get for that day. Filling out happiness every day makes it go much faster. And some dinosaurs just need more trust than others.

I don't think you're wrong about that, but using the methods of:
"Daily: pet, clean, whistle song, TREAT: Make sure to give it the one that gives hearts - have the correct biome/herd status"
Is more than fast enough, i checked your version versus what i stated before and saw no difference on 3 accounts of helper-ification in terms of speed. (Styca, Theri and Ovi for testing)

From what i understand however, there IS some luck involved when it comes to the overall taming/trust hidden stat - so i'm not saying either one of us is wrong or right on this one, just that you don't need to waste time on 2-3 extra steps if you are short on time already IE. :)

I'm no type of min-maxer, so I don't check anything for efficiency, so I'd trust your methodology. My list is just what I've noticed will get the happiness meter completely filled.

Neither am i normally, but when you get those 30+ dino's going - saving time is definitely helpful ! ^_^
