Marlo's Notebook in the Hidden Pond [Bug?]

I have scoured the hidden pond (where you can restore the garden). I saw one post about how you can find it in some bushes where clover spawn. I have not seen any clover spawn except by the bank. I have searched over two hours just at this pond. I have searched on my steed. I have searched on foot. I have systematically walked over every inch of ground around the pond in a pattern like sun rays with the pond in the middle. I have searched the edges of the map around the pond.

There is no notebook. Does anyone have advice or screenshots of where this thing can be found? If not I'm really starting to thing this is a bug.

the garden you restore is not the hidden pond, there are never any lost items there. the hidden pond is in the forest over by the entrance to dapplewood. should be able to see it on the map, north of pebble plaza.

I had to keep walking back and forth. You might have to keep looking for a bit as I don't think the dot pops up or renders right away when you're in the area you need to be in to pickup the item.
