Dinosaur Tender

I tamed a Psittacosaurus and it just became a helper, but I'm not sure what it does? Wiki says its a 'Tender' but doesnt give any explanation on what that means, and I'm not sure how to get it to start 'tending'. Anyone who knows what to do? Thanks!

Super helpful information!! I was also wondering about this - does anyone know how to activate their help? Is it just asking them to follow you with the flute? And does their gathering apply to crops on the farm?

I haven't been able to figure out how to get the "Tender" thing to activate (I suspect there is something needed, like a bucket? for them to put the crops into); but if you have them follow you while you're exploring, they'll try to get your attention if they spot something that you can gather. They just kinda stop by the item and sing (and do a little dance) to get your attention.

Very easy to miss if you happen to be riding a faster dino around (Like Lucky) because the lil guy trails so far behind. They don't really seem to do more than make harvestables more obvious (I assumed they'd be needed to actually unlock previously "unnoticed" harvestables. But nope).

The Tender ability is unlocked through Avery's character quests. It will start with planting, then harvesting, then watering. You'll get little pots for each that you can assign Tenders to.

Yes What Critter Said the tender pot is giving at Avery's festival, at least that is when it was given to me.

Yep you can get seed pots and later they can even water and pick plants too. it takes a bit and the upgrades come a little slowly but rest assured that when you get it, you'll know what to do c: I would suggest taking any small dino's walking with you on adventures to level them up as to get more stamina so that when the time comes for them to be able to plant seeds and all that they will have enough stamina to plant the whole area the pot covers
