Selecting specific amount of items (switch vers)
Im on the switch version and google hasn't helped me, so I came here.

I was wondering if there's a way to select a specifc amount of food to put in the dinosaurs' troughs? Like say I have a stack of 50 herbivore food, and I wanna split it between 2 different troughs, how can I do that? When you go to put the food in, and it put it all in at once.

I know you can select a certain amount of items to sell, but wondering why I can't split items for dinos, or inventory like that? I dont need to take all 5 crunchy poppins with me, I just want to carry 1 or 2.

Or if there is a way I'd like to know, and if not then there should be.

Hold ctrl and use your scroll wheel to split stacks instead of dumping the whole thing.

If the game tells you that, I missed it too. I think I found it myself in the keybinds?

Does the switch version have a help option when you pause it? There's a stack splitting section. On PC with my controller plugged in it says right trigger + left stick. I'd bet that It's ZR + stick or dpad for the switch.

OH it was there in the game help yeah, it's ZR and directional, thank you! I wish the game would mention it like in the tutorial haha

I avoided help for the longest time because I was afraid it would just bring up a support section on their website. I'm glad I could help. ^_^

yeah, it's weird how necessary the help menu is just for getting started. in most games i'm used to only needing it if i come BACK to a game after a long time away, and the tutorials are all well over.

Yeah, it is a bit weird, but good to know I'll probably have to refer to the help menu often if it's not going to explain the most basic functions
