The great mystery of finding Turnips...

Has anyone managed to find turnips in the wild? I need them to learn tracking. There's not much written information anywhere. I think I read somewhere that they are found in Dapplewood during Cretumnus, but I've had zero luck. Any pointers?

I think I got seeds as a reward for a quest. I can't remember if it was a main quest or bulletin board. Either way, I don't recall finding turnips in the wild anywhere. Just garlic, chili peppers, and carrots for non-bush crops that I can think of.

They're in the desert! When they're out of season it's just the plants but they do fruit I believe in jurassos

Yes, the turnips are a seasonal crop. I needed turnips for Mari and managed to buy 1 seed in Cretumnus, I believe? (Or it’s Jurassos I can’t remember) I haven’t played Cretumnus in the desert long enough to find wild turnips but good luck finding them

I haven't been able to spot them in the wild yet. But I managed to get 4 seeds off of Owynn after giving him a mystery seed pack that Marlo found at his house in the forest. I'll keep an eye out during the seasons to see if I spot any. I haven't opened up the canyon pass just yet, but I'm getting close. Just waiting on a couple of orders. x_x

The only thing I've found similar to that in the forest are the Truffles. But I could just be in the wrong season at the moment. I unlocked the forest just before Cretumnus rolled around. I'll try and look for them again during the seasons.

are you sure you read the name right? only truffles are dug up like that in the forest, not turnips.

Wooo! Have fun! The desert is my favorite area. I wish I could have a ranch just there, lol! But yeah waiting on the planks and ropes can be a drag.

Just unlocked it! It's so pretty! Wasted a better part of the day just exploring and collecting everything new!

It's all good. We'll keep looking. Consensus is forest, so far. But I'm checking both new biomes each season to see if I can't spot them. I'll update what I find here.
