Lost Hat Bug?

So when you click on the board, you can sometimes get these find a lost item quest, of which are always hidden in bushes. The one I recently got was one for Marlo, in which I had to look for a lost hat around Pebble Plaza. Problem is is that I literally looked through every bush there is there that I am able to access, and looked in the area around the town outside it too. But there is no hat to be found. I am worried this might be a bug of some sort, and would appreciate if it is looked into as some of the quests like these will keep the npcs from returning to town where I need to buy stuff from them

pebble plaza items will only ever be in the town itself, not outside of it. the main areas things tend to be isn't in the bushes, but actually right in the front area, namely, there are three spots around marlo, 1 by the rope on the wall, 1 closer to the road but near that spot, and 1 on the other side of him, and then there is also a spot right under the mission board itself. have you checked those 4 spots?

The item sometimes lies near stones or in case of Pebble Plaza directly under the message board.

I won't spoil the location for you, but have you tried looking near bushes? I would start off by the message board and work your way outward!

under the mission board killed me. i did so many loops of the plaza ignoring that lol

yeah, it's a real tricky spot! you'd think whoever was posting the quest on the board woulda found the item themself if it was right there by the quest board XD

thank you! i managed to find it. just happened to walk over it. it was in a random clear spot by marlo lol

Mine says the hat is supposed to be by the hidden pond but I haven't been able to find it either, I know in the demo it was on the rocks but this time I just can't find it. Any suggestions?

lost items can spawn in a few different spots in whatever area the quest says they were lost in. have you checked the bushes where clover spawns at the pond?
