- Agami: Pear sprout
- Marlo: Apple sprout
- Owynn: Banana sprout
- Avery: Lemon sprout
Side note: I presently have these trees growing on the farm: Mango, Cherry, Orange, 2 x Apple, Coconut, Lemon, Banana, and Pear.Hmm... I am missing one last plant in Triassea... (turned out to be a Strawberry plant, for some strange reason.)
you have to get max friendship i think, and then just wait around until they randomly give you a personal quest to do, for which they will reward the sapling.
Basically you need to gain their Friendship by helping them in some way. The Friendship level (7 petalled flower icon) can be checked in the Journal (J-key) on the Community tab for that character. Then go to the Town Boards (one in Pebble Plaza one in the desert town) and pick side-quests for these characters, complete the tasks (usually bring them something) and hand in these quests... the NPCs will like you more and more and at some point will give you things. Maximising Friendship (7/7 = BFF) seems to be a requisite.
Note just by returning to the NPCs again and again (I check every in-game day), they will also give you character/story quests when you talk to them... these latter quests usually yield the big rewards like the sprouts. And yes, this is very very long winded.
I have most of the stuff now, at the end of two in-game years of chatting up the NPCs.
another Lemon sprout for Family Farming
Only after Freya starts to build a tree house (?) for Orani, Orani moves in, they go through some relation conflicts, you get a Jambalaya for Orani, they finally sort things out, and will thank the player with a Peach sprout.
Thanks for this! Peach is my favorite and I've been looking and looking for a Peach tree. (Even if Peaches are basically worthless even for cooking.)
I think that once you get the "final reward", i.e. the tree spouts, the NPC/character quests are over, and you only have the "radiant" Town Board mini-quests left to play.
The last NPC quest was on Jur4-4 Avery/Pippin talk at Pebble Plaza in the morning: The Tastes of Tabbalash, and that with Jur4-7 Orani/Freya gifting a peach sprout, was it for me... today: Jur4-13 no new NPC quests... seems I am done with the game regarding quests?
Update: Of course once I wrote the above I got this "final final" quest from Avery...
Jur4-13 Avery, early afternoon, Pebble Plaza, gives those "dino hubs" to you for Granny: Family Farming (seed, produce, water hubs), reward -> Lemon sprout... Marlo gets blueprints...
Zara gives you the Orange sprout after doing a couple quests and becoming her Pal (I think, that's how high her relationship is with me anyway and I built the printer), I saw her sitting outside the canyon entrance and she gave me the Orange sprout along with her discovery achievement. I forgot who gives the Coconut, Cherry, or Mango sprouts but that's who gives the Orange.
