Suggestions, issues and a spelling mistake.
Hello,
I've ran my first run with 2 friends last night. I had a really good time, but ofcourse there are always these small things that could be better ;)


1:
I was playing as the warrior and there are some cards that deal more damage with 'sword' cards.
Examples: Storm of Blades, Crown and Whetstone

Now what are sword cards? I had the feeling not every card with the word 'sword' in its name did the trick. Nor cards with a sword on the image either.
How do you distinguish sword cards from other cards?
Can you add a little icon for example.. or make the word 'sword' another colour?

2:
We had a rogue in the party wich should do best at 'far' range. Like the warrior should do better at 'near' range.
Now here is the thing.. Where the card 'Rogue Knuckles' deals a ton of near damage to ALL near monsters. The 'Sharp rain' card does like almost no damage at all to all far monsters.
This really feels like the opposite of how it should work.

Here is a little spelling mistake on the word 'unavailable'.

4:
At the end of the run we had the boss wich i think was the Archdemon? Not sure!
It had this ability that the players had to take cards in turn. We could not play 2 cards in a row.
This was really just more annoying and frustrating than difficult..
As all of our players had like 6 cards to use every turn.. We always had a ton of options anyway, but it is just more of an irritating mechanic than a debuff.

1) Agreed. I think the obvious are Sword Slash, Heavy Sword , Short Sword and Crystal Sword. But what about Swords Akimbo, Deatheater Sword, Double Edge Sword and Shadow Sword? Or sword-LIKE cards such as Serrated Blade and Diamond Knife, or cards that have sword in the images like Storm of Blades and Whack 'em All?
So yes, I think a small icon for the diff types (Arrow, Sword, Bolt) would be great.

4) I just played a boss where I had to play 3 non-attack cards before I could play any others. Once the mage died the next hand the Rogue had nothing, and I had one block card. Kind of sucked.

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to write down all that feedback, that's good stuff.

Ad 1 The Sword cards mean all cards with Sword in the name (so all cards you mentioned fit the condition). But it's true that a color or, better yet, an icon would be best.

Ad 2 Rain depends on the number of Arrow cards but, having that said, we are analyzing the balance now that a lot of people are playing and will adjust it accordingly.

Ad 3 Embarrassing, thank you!

Ad 4 The bosses alter base mechanics and play sequence to counter some build, which in turn guides the deck direction from the start. The idea is that if you see that the boss is Antipope you know you can't go for a large complicated decks due to the card limit. And Archdemon forces team coordination.

Rogue Knuckles also depends on the number of arrow cards. They basicly have the same effect..
They get both stronger the more arrow cards in your hand.

It's just that a rogue is good at Far range
And the warrior is good at Near range

But the Sharp Rain and Rogue Knuckles are the other way around.
Rogue Knuckles - Near - High damage
Sharp Rain - Far - Low damage

It makes sense that there would be a few cards that would allow to hit the other range. Some of the sword cards just do dmg regardless of location. But I agree that the dmg should be switched for Knuckles and Rain.
I guess an argument could be made that the Rogue needs the near high dmg to help if the other companions are stuck or dead.
