Manually discard cards

I got in a game with the tinkerer and got the legendary artifact Pawn (never discard the cards in your hand). This looks like a good artifact but the maximum number of cards you can have in your hand is 10. This got me in a situation where I got softlocked. I had 10 cards in my hand that all cost screws and I had no available screws.

It would be nice to be able to discard cards from your hand manually. I don't see a downside of being able to do this.

Downside is that you aren't supposed to do this. Having your hand cluttered with curses or useless cards is an important part of the game.

It's the risk of no dropping the cards is part of the deal.

This is why you have the option of skipping an artifact. Pyramid was the same in Slay the Spire. Incredibly powerful, but your deck had to account for it. It's a bit worse in Hellcard because there are less discard, draw, and hand size synergies than in Slay the Spire. But it's still strong for effectively reducing your deck size by letting you hold cards you'd rather not draw, as well as save big cards like stuns or powerful blocks for the right moment.
